On the occasion of the NCAD event, IBNI was in attendance: here’s what was shared about us.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the NCAD Alumni Industry Talks Series at Milan Design Week 2026, as part of the INTERDEPENDENCE exhibition. We’re also grateful to Politecnico di Milano for hosting us once again, it’s always a pleasure to bring our community together there.
This year’s event was very well received, with a strong panel and an engaged audience. The evening featured two NCAD alumni who presented their work with real engagement and professionalism. Robyn Brown-Burke (Textile & Surface Design) shared her ‘Roots of Ogham’ collection, and Samuel Connolly (Product Design) presented ‘Grab a Seat at the Table’. Congratulations to both on their fantastic presentations!
Huge thanks also to Professor Alex Milton, Head of the School of Design, and Angela O’Kelly, Head of the Department of Body and Environment, for joining the panel and bringing such rich context and perspective to the conversation. We’re also excited about what’s ahead, with new opportunities to collaborate emerging from this year’s event.
We were pleased to welcome an NCAD student currently on Erasmus at Politecnico di Milano, along with Maria Sheehy, Consul General of Ireland in Milan, and members of the Steering Committee of the Irish Business Network Italy, whose presence contributed to the evening.
