✨ Is there an Irish approach to inclusive, sustainable architecture?
📍 This was the focus in Venice during the closing weekend of the 19th Architecture Biennale, themed “Intelligens. Natural. Artificial. Collective.”
🔵 Ireland’s presence centred on ASSEMBLY, an installation inspired by the Irish Citizens’ Assembly, designed as a circular, modular space to foster civic dialogue and collective creativity.
👥 The discussion featured newly appointed Ambassador to Italy: Elizabeth McCullough, Conor Sreenan (State Architect, OPW), Louise Cotter (Irish Pavilion Co-Curator), Architects Dan Costelloe & Cormac Friel involved in exchange programmes with Italian studios Park Associati in Milan & Francesca Torzo Architetto in Genoa, alongside Fionnuala Sweeney (Arts Council), Irish business leaders & IBNI representatives
🌍 Architecture can shape lifestyles—honouring tradition while embracing the future of Ireland and Italy.
